Christmas Performance
At the end of last term, Year 2 put on a fantastic performance of Little Angel Gets Her Wings. They all worked incredibly hard and did an excellent job! We were also very lucky to be accompanied by Year 1, who provided a fantastic chorus! West End look out- some future stars here!
Valued Experience - Making Tangrams: Year 2, Aut2 2024
As one of our Valued Experiences, Year 2 made tangrams! As it was Christmas time, they could choose to make an angel, Christmas tree, reindeer or present. Some children made a tangram to link to our topic instead – Dinosaurs! First, we looked at all the 2D shapes we had and named them, which linked to our Maths and shape unit we had just completed. The children had to select the 2D shapes they would need for their chosen tangram and carefully cut them out. Then they had to fit them together and glue them to make their tangram.
