We believe that children thrive when they feel safe, valued and inspired. Our dedicated staff work hard to create a nurturing environment where every child develops confidence, resilience and a love of learning. We have high expectations for all pupils and are committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of their starting point, receives the support and challenge they need to succeed.
Our ambitious and engaging curriculum is designed to spark curiosity, encourage creativity and provide children with meaningful opportunities to apply their learning in the real world. Our approach is underpinned by our love of reading, our Eight Principles for Great Teaching and Learning, and our commitment to fostering a positive mindset in every member of our community.
The curriculum is further strengthened by our 'NIC Values' of Nurture, Inspire and Challenge, which are woven throughout school life and help children develop academically, socially and emotionally. Through these values, we encourage children to be kind, resilient, aspirational and ready to make a positive contribution to the world around them.
Our pastoral, safeguarding and inclusion teams work closely with families to support children's academic, social and emotional development. We celebrate the unique strengths and talents of every child and are committed to ensuring all pupils feel valued, supported and able to thrive.
We place personal development, care and kindness at the centre of our approach. Through a rich programme of enrichment opportunities, educational visits, leadership responsibilities and memorable experiences, we help children develop the confidence, character and resilience needed to thrive both in school and beyond. We believe that every child is a leader, and all pupils are given opportunities to take on meaningful roles and responsibilities that contribute to our school community. By empowering children to lead, serve others and have their voices heard, we strengthen their sense of belonging and help them develop the skills needed to become active and responsible citizens.
Glebe benefits from extensive facilities and outdoor learning spaces which enrich children's experiences throughout their time with us. Alongside our well-stocked library, dedicated art and nurture spaces, we are fortunate to have a Forest School area, a yurt for outdoor learning, expansive playing fields and extensive playgrounds, which provide children with opportunities to explore, play, learn and develop a love of the outdoors. Our purpose-built Early Years provision offers young children an excellent start to their school journey, with spacious classrooms and a large outdoor learning environment.
