Headteacher's Welcome

I am delighted to welcome you to Glebe Primary School and trust this website will give you all the information you need. At the heart of Glebe, certain principles and practices are held above others and set us apart in a positive and adventurous way. Our engaging approach includes our love of reading, our eight principles for good teaching and learning and our ethos, which centres around a positive mindset for everyone here.

Our school has great facilities including two well-stocked libraries, two halls, an Art room and a Nurture Room. Our Early Years’ department is purpose-built for young children with a large outdoor space and good-sized classrooms. We also pride ourselves on our love of the outdoors and sporting ventures. We have a well-equipped school with excellent facilities and green space. We have outdoor spaces in the middle of the school too which we call our ‘quads’. Our school is ideally situated for school trips to the beach, the countryside, and also to the city. We have it all on our doorstep!

Our dedicated team is committed to developing your children to become resilient, motivated and curious learners. Our staff team is highly skilled, and we have specialists in all areas of the curriculum and excellent learning support from our Inclusion Team. Our school is organised into phases, with three classes in each year group. Our curriculum is carefully designed to enhance every subject, to engage, and to develop curiosity and enquiry. We place personal development, care, and kindness at the centre of our approach to learning and offer valued experiences in every year group to give children new opportunities to shine. Our pastoral team compliments our school offer and is highly focused on ensuring every child will thrive.
