Set 1 Sounds
Introduction
This section includes introduction video lessons to all SET 1 sounds. It also includes WORD TIME video lessons which focus on blending sounds they know to read words.
Sound introduction videos involve:

- Hearing and saying the focus sound
- Learning about the shape of the focus sound so they can recognise it
- Learning the phrase to recall the sound
- Writing the focus sound (in the air)
- Oral blending words with the focus sound
Word time videos involve:
- Reviewing the learned sounds
- Blending sound cards to read a word
- Oral blending (fred talk)
- Blending sounds in green words
- Blending sounds in your head (fred in your head)
